What are Local Data Aggregators?
Data aggregators gather consumer and business data and provide it to hundreds of listing directories, review sites, search engines, and more. They also power sophisticated modern applications such as Apple’s Siri and personal navigation systems.
How often does Citation Builder send NAP data to the data aggregators?
When a business profile data is created or modified in JAZ Business App, the information is sent within 24 hours. The data aggregators receive this data and provide JAZ with confirmation within 6-8 weeks. We also refreshes business NAP data once every month to ensure that aggregators always have the most accurate information.
How long does Citation Builder take?
As soon as business information is entered, JAZ’s Citation Builder will send it to the data aggregators. It can take 6-8 weeks for them to receive the information and ensure it is correct in their own databases. It is then up to the sites and sources to update their information from the data aggregators. They query them at various intervals—some seek out the information weekly, monthly, etc. Therefore, the timeline for when a source picks up that information will vary greatly depending on their process for updating their data.
What is needed to complete the Claim & Verification of Google Business Profile, Bing Places, and Apple Business Connect Listings?
Be prepared to confirm the name, address, phone number, hours of operation, and website of your business. Having a utility bill containing the business name and address prepared prior to the onboarding call will be useful as this may be required for the claiming process. In addition, you will need to be present at the business and able to take incoming calls at the primary business number.
What if my business listings are already claimed?
If you are the primary owner of the listing, all you have to do is grant us access to the listing for ongoing management. If you are not the owner of the listing, we can work with Google Support to have the listing unlocked. Important Note: This process can take 2 weeks or more to complete, and we cannot guarantee that Google will unlock and transfer the listing.
What is NAP data?
NAP stands for Name, Address, and Phone. The NAP data is one of the most important parts of your client’s listing. It should be accurate and consistent with the information on their website.
What if my business doesn't have a physical address?
For service area businesses, most listing sites will still require a real address. Some sites, like Google, can suppress the address, so it is not viewable online. However, Apple will not suppress an address.
